Materials + Care

1. Cotton Tapestries
Cleaning: Professional Dry Clean Recommended. Alternatively, hand wash gently in cold water (max 30°C) with a mild detergent. Do not wring or scrub.
Drying: Air dry flat in the shade. Do not tumble dry to avoid shrinkage.
Ironing: Iron on the reverse side only using a warm/hot setting while the fabric is slightly damp.
2. Velvet Tapestries
Cleaning: Professional Dry Clean Only. Water can flatten the pile and ruin the luxury texture.
Crease Removal: Never press an iron directly onto velvet. Use a handheld garment steamer from a safe distance while hung, or steam the reverse side without applying downward pressure.
3. General Maintenance
Dusting: Gently vacuum once a week using the soft brush attachment on a low suction setting.
Sunlight: Avoid hanging your tapestry in intense, direct sunlight to protect the artwork from fading.
No Bleach: Harsh chemicals will weaken natural fibres and ruin the rich pigments.
